Mission in Honduras
June 10th, 2015
Here are a couple ways God has been at work:
1. On Monday, I was able to spend a considerable amount of time with Pastor Adonais and his wife Petronilla. We talked extensively about the ministry there, the struggles, blessings and strategies looking forward. I challenged Pastor Adonais in a couple areas and he received my advice well. I am going to establish a monthly phone call with him so I can keep him accountable to the areas of ministry we discussed. I was also able to encourage him in his work in the community and personal time for his family. He is doing well and I am thankful that God is continually using him in this work.
2. As many of you know, Grace Ann was sick for much of the day yesterday. God raised her up from this sickness and she is doing much better and eating consistently. Thank you for your prayers. She starting feeling better in time for us all to go to the service last night. I was able to preach the gospel to the people there and it was well received.
3. Today, we went and visited absentee members and first time guests. In our visit, we came upon a house of a man named Jorge and his family. Jorge was at home today because he was recently injured in a car accident where a truck flipped over carrying 20+ people in the back. The truck rolled over on this man’s leg and crushed it. He is recovering and God is healing him. We used this testimony to lead into the good news of Jesus Christ who heals our broken relationship with God. This man realized that God had spared his life many times and that He was at work. After sharing the full gospel message, Jorge accepted Christ with his family looking on. It was awesome. Glory be to God!
I will be meeting with the men tonight to encourage them in the Scriptures, so please pray in that way. We love you all and look forward to being with you again.
